Doula Support

Doulas play a crucial role in the wellbeing of birthing individuals and their infants. At Toronto Birth Doula, we like to support families inclusive of their choice of birth place, whether that’s doula support at home, in hospital, or at the Toronto Birth Centre. All births matter, and all births benefit from professional guidance and support. We strive to offer evidence-based prenatal and childbirth support from a non-biased lens.

Our founding Doula is a certified childbirth educator, mindfulness meditation coach, trained midwife assistant (at The Farm in Tennessee), waterbirth expert, and has experience in over 500 homes over 10 years supporting families in pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

We offer labour and delivery support at all hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area, including but not limited to Sunnybrook, St. Mike’s, Mount Sinai, St. Joe’s, Michael Garron, Brampton Civic Hospital and more. Postpartum support in hospital or NICU is available.

All of our Birth Doula Packages Include:

• Check-ins throughout pregnancy through text, e-mail and video call (no extra cost for extra video or phone calls) and for up to 8-weeks postpartum!

• 24/7 on-call availability from 38 weeks (or earlier, if required)

• Doula support and comfort tools at home or in hospital (doula equipment may include: kayak birth stool, massage oils, bluetooth speaker & birth playlists, yoga props, peanut birth ball, heating pad, ice packs, TENS unit, and more) from early or active labour until about 2 hours after delivery

• Birth photography! Note: the doula is a professional photographer & carries a high quality camera. All clients get up to 100 edits from birth and the golden hour after birth

Starting at $1,750 + HST for birth support only (basic birth doula package is $2,250 + HST)

Base Birth Doula Package

• 1 in-home private childbirth education classes (3 hours) - includes educational and hands-on components, videos and discussion, education about the physiology of childbirth, evidence-based methods to promote safety and comfort in birth, understanding fetal positioning, breathing & mindfulness for birth, and more!

• 1 in-home postnatal check-in/wellness visit (1-2 hrs) - includes assistance with breastfeeding/lactation, sitzs bath for mom, newborn bath, discussion about newborn sleep, recovery and more

$2,250 + HST
