“Leah came highly referred to me by another expectant mother while I was pregnant to provide doula services before and during my labour. She provided my family with amazing in-home prenatal care in our Toronto home leading up to the birth of our little girl. We loved Leah so much that we decided to hire her on to assist with my birth even though I already had two midwives assigned to me during this time. I was in 43 hours of labour to birth my child and I don't think I would have done it without Leah's help and knowledge. She provided the utmost level of service and care even in the pre-labour stages. To be quite honest, I didn't think I would require Leah's services after the birth of my daughter but I developed a closeness with her leading up to it. She became a confidant during some difficult time where I was not feeling very much supported at home. Long story short, she was so amazing I ended up hiring her for postnatal care and she has helped me out with Maxie tremendously in the last two months. As sad as I would be to not have access to her care while she is working for another family, I would 100% recommend her for any family that is looking for assistance with child care and the birth of a new baby.”

“Leah provided birth support to my husband and me during our birth at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. She helped me create the relaxing ‘spa experience’ that I was hoping for during my labour. Using a variety of techniques including massage, aromatherapy, and gentle guidance, Leah helped me feel relaxed, comfortable and well cared for, so contractions were easier to manage. For the whole 27.5 hours that she was with us, Leah helped us create and maintain a lovely, calm birth environment. Leah was very respectful of my personal birth choices and responsive to my needs during each stage of labor and delivery. She helped my husband and I feel confident discussing our birth wishes with the hospital staff and adapting to the changes and pace of my labor. Leah is a modern doula whose peaceful and uplifting energy makes her a wonderful addition to any birth team.”

“My partner and I hired Leah to be our doula when we found out we were expecting our baby daughter. She came highly recommended by Sasha Exeter. We did prenatal yoga with Leah and it was wonderful! I must admit, I am not usually a huge fan of yoga because I prefer more intense workouts, but I loved the ambiance Leah put together for our prenatal yoga classes - they were always so relaxing and amazing!! I have an anxious personality and each time she managed to get me to a very relaxing state!! We had our medication-free birth at Sunnybrook Hospital two days ago and I am able to write this testimonial already because my body is healing fast. I had an amazing and fast birth (4 hours) but it was still quite intense and I can honestly say that Leah kept me calm, helped me tremendously with natural pain management techniques, and guided me to trust my body. I am in tears as I am writing this because I physically leaned on Leah while birthing and probably hang on to her too tight, but the care that she gave us is simply priceless. She took beautiful birth photos too and managed the staff at the hospital so they would respect my birth wishes!! We are home now, all at peace and my baby girl is striving.“Thank you Leah for the confidence you've given me through these past months - I didn't think I could do it again! This is exactly what we had envision for our birth!!”- Melanie Rousseau (Second-Time Mom)”

"I’m so glad I hired Leah to be with my husband and I for the birth of our second child. Having the experience of a doula at our home birth was hugely reassuring to us for starters; but far beyond that, Leah's peaceful presence, her confidence in my abilities, and her relentless positivity lead us to have the medication-free homebirth of my dreams in our Toronto home. I was just entering active labour when Leah arrived and I felt, all of a sudden, calm and like i was in good hands when she arrived. Having her know-how, her experience, and her calm and loving presence there was really reassuring. She really helped me and my husband to get through the process. I am proud of myself and my son for what we accomplished with Leah's help."

"When I met Leah I knew I wanted her as my doula. She is very kind, understanding, experienced and comforting and has a modern doula approach so I decided to hire her for my birth at St. Michael’s Hospital in downtown Toronto. Leah taught me about several pain medication alternatives in our prenatal visit such as the TENS machine, yoga birth moves, acupressure techniques, relaxing essential oils, affirmation cards and much more. She was very supportive of my choice to have an epidural and to try for a VBAC. My husband wasn't in Toronto, so Leah was my only support during my long 20-hour labour. I can't possibly describe how she helped me and made me feel good for those long hours. She literally didn't stop for a second. She applied acupressure massage during labour which helped me dilate very fast from 6 cm to 10 cm — the doctors couldn't believe it! When I remember those moments, I can't imagine what I would have done without her. I believe she was an angel sent for me."

“I honestly don’t know how I would’ve survived it without Leah… Best money spent!!”

“My third child was delivered by scheduled c-section and Leah was instrumental in my care. After the scheduled c-section, my mobility was greatly compromised and my pain levels were high, making it difficult to function. The hospital nursing staff, unfortunately, provide only limited support. Leah assisted me personally with my needs overnight in the hospital and was able to diaper and change the baby as needed. She also assisted me with breastfeeding the baby. I couldn’t have survived without her help and support, it truly made my hospital stay manageable. Leah has also shown a great natural ability caring for my two other young children. She is a natural caregiver and I would highly recommend her birth and postpartum doula services.”

“If you’re interested in doula support (and you really should be), Leah is amazing. She supported us during our home-birth in Toronto and has provided in-home care for us ever since. She is excellent from the prenatal perspective, super experienced and helpful and a great post-natal helper. Just talk to her she’s fantastic.”
— Bryden Waggott (Father of 2, returning client for 4 years)
"In one word I can share my experience with Leah as my doula as AMAZING! She stood by me during tough situations in labour as a mother would. We birthed at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga and used all the natural techniques during labour for pain management. Leah has tremendous patience and is very peaceful in every situation. Leah's private prenatal classes were well designed to suit my needs. Leah is a very kind person and I would definitely recommend her birth doula services.

"I hired Leah as my doula last-minute and it was amazing. I was dilated 3cm when she arrived and in 1.5 hours I was 9 cm dilated. I couldn’t believe how strong and dedicated she was. She gave me a massage in labour and pressed the right acupressure point at the right times with good coordination. I am very happy that I was referred to her, and I really recommend her services. Call her even if you are in last-minute need like me!

“Leah Jackson is a ray of sunshine in your home. It is so unbelievably helpful having someone so skilled in birth and birth recovery to be there for you during the early weeks after your birth. She is an extremely experienced professional who needs very little direction, but takes all direction well. Things like a glass of water by your side, a pillow behind your back while breastfeeding, or some healthy food to eat are just some of the things Leah intuitively knows to provide throughout the day and are nothing short of luxurious necessities to a new mom. My toddler took to her warmth and kindness instantly and benefited from days filled with imaginative activities, stories, musical instruments, and yoga. Although younger than me, Leah is a wise soul and her happiness is contagious, even during those long tiring sometimes stressful first baby days. I would highly recommend her postpartum visits.”
